NAMI Lowcountry is moving from Hilton Head Island to a larger and more central location in Bluffton on Aug. 1. The new office will be at 29 Plantation Park Drive, Unit 204, across from Bluffton Volunteers in Medicine Clinic.

The new location will allow the organization to meet an increased demand and serve more individuals and families from all of Beaufort County as well as Jasper, Hampton, Colleton and Allendale counties.

Founded in 1989 as the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Beaufort County, NAMI Lowcountry is a grassroots organization that provides free programs of support and education throughout the community. In 2012, the organization was were named NAMI Affiliate of the Year from more than 1,000 affiliates nationwide.

• The Palmetto Plant Eaters Club will host a one-night only screening of the film "Code Blue: Redefining the Practice of Medicine" at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 17 at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Lowcountry, 110 Malphrus Road in Bluffton.

"Code Blue" follows a passionate physician, Dr. Saray Stancic, as she reflects upon her journey from a multiple sclerosis diagnosis to wellness through her own adoption of lifestyle medicine. Dr. Stancic introduces expert physicians and scientists who are paving the way to make meaningful and necessary change in our healthcare environment, and in turn, empowering audiences to stand up and reclaim control of their health.
