The RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing is looking for two tasty cookie recipes to serve up at the 51st annual RBC Heritage golf tournament.
The Plaid Nation Cookie Contest - in partnership with University of South Carolina Beaufort - has been launched to find two winning cookies that will be sold at RBC Heritage concession stands during tournament week in April.
"The Plaid Nation Cookie Contest is a new venture for us and a great opportunity to partner with USCB, and get fans involved," said Steve Wilmot, tournament director of the RBC Heritage and president of the Heritage Classic Foundation.
There are two contest age categories: adults 18 and over, and youth between the ages of 8 to 17. Bakers may submit their recipe by March 18 with a photo of the cookie. Entrants will be narrowed down by contest organizers to the top three finalists in each category.
Judging will be based on creativity, cookie name and deliciousness factor. Finalists will be notified on March 20 of their invitation to participate in "Plaid Nation's Live Cookie Bake-Off" at 10:30 a.m. March 27 at the USCB Hilton Head Island campus, 1 Sand Shark Drive. The event is open to the public.
Each winner will receive a champion package, including tickets to the tournament and plaid swag.
