Beaufort Memorial expands primary care

Beaufort Memorial has expanded its primary care services on Hilton Head Island with the opening of two practices at 100 Exchange St., Suite 200.
Representatives from Beaufort Memorial, the Town of Hilton Head Island and the Hilton Head Island & Bluffton Chamber of Commerce celebrated the openings during an Oct. 15 ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The location houses Marshview Primary Care, which relocated from Bluffton this fall, and a second location for Beaufort Memorial Concierge Care.

“We hear time and time again that the Lowcountry needs more primary care options,” said Beaufort Memorial President and CEO Russell Baxley. “We couldn’t be more excited to expand our presence on Hilton Head Island and increase access to high-quality care for residents.”

Marshview Primary Care offers comprehensive primary care services through board-certified family medicine physician Dr. Nikki Keisler and physician assistant Stephanie Lovato.

Family medicine physician Dr. Christopher Opella provides care through Beaufort Memorial’s concierge medicine program, a membership-based service offering more personalized care and direct access to providers.

The Hilton Head Island openings are part of Beaufort Memorial’s broader expansion of health care services in southern Beaufort County.

The health system plans to open an emergency and urgent care facility on William Hilton Parkway in January, followed by Bluffton Community Hospital in early 2027.

“These projects represent a significant investment in the health and well-being of our community and in particular, our communities in the southern part of the county,” Baxley said. “Together, they’ll make it easier for residents and visitors both to access the care they need, closer to home.”
Hilton Head Island Mayor Alan Perry also emphasized the importance of expanding primary care services.

“Primary care access in our community has been a challenge for a long time, and Beaufort Memorial is helping meet that need,” Perry said. “These new practices, along with the upcoming Emergency & Urgent Care, demonstrate what can happen when partnerships make these conversations a reality, creating a better community and healthcare system for everyone.”

Beaufort Memorial Concierge Care also operates at 300 New River Parkway, Suite 16, in Hardeeville, under the direction of Dr. James Frost. Another board-certified provider is scheduled to join the practice in December.
The concierge program offers same-day or next-day appointments when needed, flexible scheduling, around-the-clock communication with providers by phone, email or text, and coordinated care services.
