Championship Series to include RBC Heritage

The RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing will become part of the PGA Tour Championship Series beginning in 2028, tournament officials announced.
The complete 2028 Championship Series schedule, including tournament dates, venues and event names, will be announced later.

“It is an incredible honor for the RBC Heritage to be a part of the PGA Tour Championship Series,” RBC Heritage Tournament Director Steve Wilmot said.

The PGA Tour Championship Series, announced in June 2026, will feature the tour’s top performers in approximately 23 to 24 events from February through August.

The RBC Heritage has been played on Hilton Head Island since 1969. The Heritage Classic Foundation, the tournament’s host organization, has distributed more than $65.6 million to charitable and community initiatives since its founding in 1987.

The 2027 RBC Heritage will be held April 12-18 and broadcast on CBS Sports. Tickets for the 59th RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing will go on sale in October.
