Novant Health opens Buckwalter Place Medical Park
Novant Health has opened its new Buckwalter Place Medical Park in Bluffton, expanding healthcare services in the growing Lowcountry community. The medical park houses primary care services, orthopedic and sports medicine specialists, and an imaging center.
Novant Health Buckwalter Place Primary Care opened in May. The practice is led by internal medicine physician Dr. Karen Henrichsen and nurse practitioner Mandy Strickland and provides preventive care and chronic disease management for adults.
The orthopedic clinic relocated to the new site and includes 26 exam rooms, X-ray services, a casting room and procedure rooms. Twenty orthopedic specialists will rotate through the facility.
The imaging center, expected to open in July, will offer X-ray, mammography, CT and MRI services. The facility complements Novant Health’s Washington Square campus, scheduled to open in July, and the future Novant Health Bluffton Medical Center, expected in 2028.

Get Stitched opens storefront
A custom embroidery and engraving business that began in a home garage has opened a storefront at Riverwalk in Ridgeland.
Get Stitched, founded by Karin Raymond, offers custom embroidery, direct-to-film printing and engraving services for apparel, promotional products and gifts. Raymond said the business draws on more than 30 years of experience in the custom embroidery industry.
“For the most part, when people want custom garments and gifts embroidered with their logo or message, they’ve had to rely on online retailers,” Raymond said. “What we offer is something that takes a lot of the stress out of that, with items you can see and feel before deciding and turnaround times that the big online retailers can’t match.”
Get Stitched is located at 149 Riverwalk Blvd., Suite H.
