Habitat for Humanity of the Lowcountry to host golf tournament

Habitat for Humanity of the Lowcountry will host its 29th annual golf tournament Sept. 28 at Oldfield Golf Club to raise funds for affordable housing programs in Beaufort and Jasper counties.
The annual fundraiser brings together local businesses, community organizations, golfers and volunteers to support the nonprofit’s housing efforts.

Tournament proceeds will support Habitat for Humanity of the Lowcountry and its mission of helping local families through homeownership opportunities. Funds raised this year will also help support construction of the organization’s 14th Golf Tournament House.

Organizers said rising costs for building materials and supplies have increased the importance of fundraising efforts that support home construction and repair projects.

The tournament has been led for several years by longtime Habitat volunteer and supporter Larry Sanders.

$250 per golfer or $1,000 for a foursome. Registration includes greens fees, a golf cart, golfer swag bags and a post-tournament buffet reception.

Tournament registration is open to both individuals and teams. Registration information is available at lowcountryhabitat.org/2026golf.

An online auction will also be held in conjunction with the tournament. The auction opens Sept. 14 and will feature items and experiences to support the organization’s housing efforts.

Organizers are also offering sponsorship opportunities for businesses and individuals interested in supporting the event.
