Moss Creek Golf Club will host the 2026 High School Girls Invitational and Mentoring Weekend from Sept. 25-27, bringing together top high school girls golfers from across South Carolina for competition and mentorship.

The event is organized by the Women’s South Carolina Golf Association Vicki Hillen Junior Golf Foundation in partnership with Moss Creek Golf Club and host Rosie Jones. It will take place at Moss Creek’s Devil’s Elbow South Course, with organizers expecting 72 players.

Participants will compete in 36 holes of tournament play and take part in a mentoring program featuring current and former LPGA Tour players and coaches.

Scheduled participants include Jones, World Golf Hall of Fame member Hollis Stacy, 2024 U.S. Senior Women’s Open champion Leta Lindley and Jackie Gallagher Smith, a member of the Indiana Golf Hall of Fame.

The weekend will begin with a professional exhibition, followed by a mentoring dinner and panel discussion before tournament play begins.

Jones said the event aims to provide junior golfers with competitive experience and access to mentorship.

“We’re proud to support this event for the fifth year,” Jones said. “I’m especially proud of the mentoring program and the impact it has made on young women across South Carolina.”

The mentoring program pairs participants with current and former women’s golf coaches and professional instructors. Mentors include Betty Palmer, former head women’s golf coach at Alabama; Kelley Hester, head women’s golf coach at Clemson University; and former University of South Carolina head coach Kristi Coggins.

In 2025, five South Carolina junior golfers each received $2,000 mentoring scholarships. Organizers said the Rosie Jones Mentoring Program has received more than $10,000 in funding for each of the past three years, allowing scholarships for five new high school players annually.

According to organizers, total investment in the mentoring program now exceeds $35,000.

Net proceeds from the event will support training and mentoring programs for South Carolina junior girl golfers, including instruction in course management, short game, club selection and tournament decision-making.

Corporate supporters listed by organizers include Morgan Stanley, Seaquins Ballroom, BMW of Bluffton, CRAB Group and Front Light Building Company.

Moss Creek has previously hosted women’s golf events. The Moss Creek Women’s Invitational was an official LPGA Tour event from 1976 to 1985. Hollis Stacy won the tournament in 1980 and 1983.
