Swing for the Future returns for sixth year

Posted

The Children’s Center will host its sixth annual Swing for the Future Golf Tournament on Sept. 14 at Long Cove Club, bringing together golfers, business leaders and community supporters to raise money for early childhood education and child care programs serving Lowcountry families.

The fundraising event will begin with registration at 11 a.m., followed by a Step Aside Scramble shotgun start.

According to organizers, proceeds from the tournament will support The Children’s Center’s mission of providing year-round child care and early childhood education for working families in Beaufort and Jasper counties. The organization said the funding helps families access affordable care while allowing parents to remain employed and children to receive educational support.

Executive Director Jody L. Levitt said the event’s impact extends beyond the golf course.

“When you tee off at Swing for the Future, you are helping remove financial barriers for families and giving children a safe, nurturing place to learn and grow.”

Tournament registration is available for both individuals and teams. The cost is $1,200 for a foursome and $300 for an individual golfer. Registration includes a golf cart fee, box lunch and an after-golf reception featuring light fare and a cash bar.

In addition to player registration, organizers are seeking event sponsors. .
